Jellies

For many weeks I watched them dance gracefully and sometimes in song and other times - heartbreak. I was mesmerized and I found myself at the Shedd Aquarium for hours at a time.

I avoided the crowds and as soon as the doors open, I was one of the first people at the doors. For seven weeks, I fell in love with these incredibly graceful creatures. I made images that touched my heart and with every click, a jolt of excitement.

It has been about 5 years since the jellies left the Shedd Aquarium. I went to say good bye on New Year’s day in 2015. Six days later they left. I went a few more times to the aquarium but it wasn’t the same. They took a piece of my heart with them.
